TVR Griffith Ignition Schematic

This  information has been gathered from personal experience and is  believed to be  accurate but there is no guarantee that this is the case. Anyone  using this  information does so on the understanding that its use is completely  at their own  risk and that no liability for errors or omissions or consequential damage to  persons or possessions will be accepted by the author  or his agents. Prospective  users should make their own considered judgement or  seek specialist advice as to  the accuracy or otherwise of any statements made  before using this information  in anyway.

The Ignition circuits for the Griffith and Chimera can be confusing even for long term owners.  When something fails and the relevant fuse needs to be checked identifying the correct one can be tiresome, hopefully the schematic below will dispel some of the mystery and enable a quick diagnosis to be made. Fuse 21 protects all ignition feeds so if this has failed you are only likely to have the  lights and horn.  If relay 5 has failed all of the circuits fed by fuses 15-18 would be missing. If the ignition switch is faulty in the
(Ignition On position ) then none of the circuits below will be active excepting perhaps cranking if that part of the switch is OK.
The schematic is believed to be accurate for a 1996 Griffith 500 but there are differences between  models so be aware that your car may not be quite the same.
