TVR Griffith Radiator

The radiator in the Griffith is a very tight fit and can cause problems when it needs to be removed. To provide more wriggle room several items need to be removed and placed out of the way before trying to remove the radiator:
  1. The coolant expansion tank is fixed by two 13mm bolts to the chassis front cross rail.
  2. The windscreen washer bottle simply lifts out of its socket on the charcoal cannister cover.
  3. The charcoal cannister itself requires unbolting from its steel cover and can be left in the inner wing, then remove the two rubber tubes from the cannister.
  4. The cannister steel cover together with the two rubber tubes connected to the inlet  manifold and the fuel tank.
  5. The air inlet trunk needs disconnecting from the air filter.
  6. The alarm siren requires un-bolting from the nearside inner wing.
  7. The electric cooling fans should be unbolted from the radiator, 4 x 10mm bolts to reduce the weight.

Two 13mm retaining bolts will then release the radiator but care needs to be taken as space is still limited.
When it is time to reinstall the process is repeated in reverse but chances are you will have forgotten the sequence, it will only go in one way. The snaps below show the sequence:
